I graduated valedictorian of the Class of 2007 from Deering High School in Portland, Maine.
I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2011.
I earned a PhD in experimental high energy physics at the University of Maryland, College Park, after defending my doctoral dissertation in November 2014.
I was a postdoctoral research associate with the CMS experiment at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory.
I am now an associate scientist in the Scientific Computing Division.
Outside of physics, I am broadly interested in science and technology, especially computing and programming, machine learning, genetics, cognitive science, mathematics, and economics.
